Why does the form ask about kidney or liver disease?

We ask about kidney and liver disease because it’s not that patients can’t use antibiotics if they have kidney or liver disease, it’s that they have to have their dosages adjusted based on their level of dysfunction. It’s a delicate balance and requires closer monitoring by a physician. That is why under our model of providing antibiotics we aren’t able to extend the service to patients with those kinds of chronic conditions in a way that is safe for the patient. If your doctor has told you that your kidney function is normal and you have no medication restrictions, you can answer the question to kidney disease as ‘No’.
