Frequently Asked Questions
Why do I need a JaseGo kit?
The JaseGo medication kit is designed for any and every quick trip (less than 1 month in length), to cover you for the most common medical concerns you might encounter and saving you the hassle of having to find out of network medical help. The peace of mind is priceless. For more extended travel plans, consider our more robust Jase Case Traveler kit designed for long-term use.
Who is the JaseGo kit for?
You must be at least 12 years old to be prescribed a JaseGo kit. For minors 12-17, a parent or guardian must complete the purchase. For children 2-11, the new Jase KidCase is the best solution.
How long before my trip should I order JaseGo to get it in time?
Most orders are prescribed, processed and shipped within 2 business days. Depending on your location, it will take a few additional days for the order to arrive at your door. To be on the safe side, we recommend getting your JaseGo kit at least 2 weeks prior to your trip.
Can I share my JaseGo meds?
Jase only offers personalized kits that are prescribed to the individual who filled out the order form. The physicians prescribe based upon the answers to the questions on that form. If there is an allergy notated on the form, we need to account for that allergy and make sure that others are not using the medications that could potentially be harmful to them. These are emergency antibiotics and medications and should be treated the same way as any other medication that is prescribed by a physician. We do recommend letting your friends and family know to get their own JaseGo kit before they travel. If you would like to earn a referral commission, please join our ambassador program!
Note | If your kit does contain OTC (over the counter) medications, we would advise following all precautions and instructions on the OTC medication before sharing.
Are Add-Ons available?
No, add-ons are not available for Jase Go. If you would like the flexibility to build your medication kit, start with a Jase Case which has over 30 add-on medication options.
Are substitutions available?
Only if an allergy is present, we have predetermined substitutions. We are unable to take requests for medication changes.
Does it come with a guidebook?
Jase Go does not come with a guidebook, but it will come with new medication cards that fit neatly into the bag, and have all the basic information including a QR code linking to a more in depth look at the medication.
How many can I purchase in a year?
2 per person annually.
Will I receive a call from the physician?
Depends on your state. Some states require a live encounter with the physician. In those cases you will receive a call from the physician. Otherwise, you will only receive a call if the physician has unanswered questions regarding your current medications or allergies.
I didn’t receive my tracking number?
If you did not receive a tracking number, please contact us at answers@jasemedical.com
Do you accept HSA cards?
You should be able to use your HSA card. Ultimately, it will depend on your insurance and we encourage checking with them before attempting to use your card. Some have very particular requirements, specifically an itemized cost break down of each medication which we cannot provide.
What if I have an allergy to one of the antibiotics?
We leave it up to the consulting physician to make a substitution if there are allergies. There is almost always a substitution that can be made. You MUST notate any allergies on your submission form. We cannot make substitutions once the order is placed.
How long can the antibiotics be stored?
The FDA requires pharmacies to put an expiration date of 1 year on prescriptions. Most antibiotics will come with an expiration date between 2 and 3 years from the date of manufacture. To maximize the shelf-life of your medications they should be stored in air-tight containers in a cool, dry environment.
Under proper storage conditions antibiotics, expiration dates can be extended for a minimum of an additional 5 years.
Studies have even shown 90% retained potency after as many as 20 years.
Do you accept insurance?
Jase Medical does not accept any type of health insurance.
