Still have questions?
Frequently Asked Questions
Will I receive a call from the physician?
Depends on your state. Some states require a live encounter with the physician. In those cases you will receive a call from the physician. Otherwise, you will only receive a call if the physician has unanswered questions regarding your current medications or allergies.
I didn’t receive my tracking number?
If you did not receive a tracking number, please contact us at answers@jasemedical.com
Do you accept HSA cards?
You should be able to use your HSA card. Ultimately, it will depend on your insurance and we encourage checking with them before attempting to use your card. Some have very particular requirements, specifically an itemized cost break down of each medication which we cannot provide.
What if I have an allergy to one of the antibiotics?
We leave it up to the consulting physician to make a substitution if there are allergies. There is almost always a substitution that can be made. You MUST notate any allergies on your submission form. We cannot make substitutions once the order is placed.
How long can the antibiotics be stored?
The FDA requires pharmacies to put an expiration date of 1 year on prescriptions. Most antibiotics will come with an expiration date between 2 and 3 years from the date of manufacture. To maximize the shelf-life of your medications they should be stored in air-tight containers in a cool, dry environment.
Under proper storage conditions antibiotics, expiration dates can be extended for a minimum of an additional 5 years.
Studies have even shown 90% retained potency after as many as 20 years.
Do you accept insurance?
Jase Medical does not accept any type of health insurance.
Can you ship direct to the mission home?
We do require the MissionCase be shipped to the home address in the US only. We hope to offer shipping to Canada soon. If your missionary is already out in the field, you’ll need to get the MissionCase on their behalf and then find a way to get it to them. If shipping international, we recommend checking US embassy sites for International shipping regulations.
What if any of the medications are used? Can my missionary get refills?
Yes! We’ve extended the refill date for the full length of their mission. If your missionary uses any of the meds and needs to purchase a refill, their parent/guardian in the US can go to jase.com and using the same email as the original order, place a refill on the needed medication.
How will my missionary know what medications to take?
Where possible, reach out to your primary care provider. However, that may not be possible in many scenarios, so we include in every MissionCase our brand new Med Cards! One card for each medication in the kit that clearly outlines information about the medication, symptoms treated and appropriate dosing.
